[Show’s Script & Images]
[Top Story] Before we start today’s headlines, in our promise to stay non-political, we will however acknowledge a great man today, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
[Space / UFO] First up on today’s Space and UFO headlines, or perhaps this should be under the Alien Abduction category?….
Cattle Mutilations, thanks to RoundtownUFO Society (@RoundtownUFO) for tweeting out this little gem today of cattle mutilations and other unsolved mysteries.
On an upcoming episode of the Cosmic Café Show we actually have guest Devon Blankenship who personally witnessed and took photos of mutilated cattle, and the images she shared, are very similar to what you see in today’s graphic.
[Aliens] For our Aliens and Extraterrestrials category today, we have this gem which was retweeted by Star Talk Radio (@StarTalkRadio) – Do aliens from outerspace care about our man-made borders? Would the respect them?
Its an interesting dialogue and concept which I have talked about for years.
And from our “not-a-real sponsor” – Getting Ur Ass Towed, Inc –
Almost all of us, including myself, own and love our vehicles, but when your trusty hunk of junk decides to cut out on you in the middle of the freeway, while going the speed limit in the FAST Lane….
And some a-hole idiot decides to not let you safely merge off the freeway, you are tempted to go all “Mad Max” on his dumb ass and bulldoze your way to the safety of the roadside!
Well, I almost went “Mad Max” on Sunday, but luckily I restrained my primordial instincts to safely exit the freeway, to a parking lot, where I waited for around two hours for my savior – a friendly man, who was operating one of “Getting’ Ur Ass Towed, Inc.’s Tow trucks to whisk me from this less than desirable portion of town…. Eh-hem!
So, if you ever find yourself in need of towing services, just remember to call our friends over at Gettin’ Ur Ass Towed, Inc., who incidentally are not new sponsors of the show.
[Abduction / Experiencer] Thanks to Cats In Space (@CatsLoveSpace) who tweeted out this hilarious pic of a cat which appears to be in the process of being tractor beamed up to an Alien Space Craft, well at least in my mind that is what I’m seeing!
Which may also explain why that lady who is hiding behind the plant has a look of terror!
Now this is interesting, the Bullet that shot Bigtoot! Well, this is according to Destination America (@DestAmerica) It certainly caught our attention today, and would love to know more!
[Hold up one of my own bullets] –This is the future bullet that will shoot the big furry fella, all I need now, is a gun, and to get him in my cross hairs….
It does amaze me how much media and other buzz we get from people out hunting Bigfoot, heck a few years ago we had a TV show which promised to have a $10 Million Bounty for Bigfoot – dead or alive – despite the promise of getting all that money, nobody claimed it.
[Ghosts / Hauntings] Thanks Belfast Telegraph (@BelTel_Ent) for the warning about Derren Brown’s new Ghost Train ride!
A quote from their article:
The ride, which lasts 10-15 minutes, is described as a multi-sensory experience consisting of five key themes: grand illusion, live action, next generation technology, 4D special effects and physical transit.
Brown said: “I firmly believe that this kind of multi-sensory, mind blowing attraction represents a glimpse of what the future holds for theme parks the world over.”
The ride has 12 different possible journeys and two potential endings for each passenger, so the experience will differ for everyone.
And we will show you their 1 minute promo video coming up in just a few moments.

Sommer is an Engineer by day and a paranormal investigator by night. She has traveled the globe in search of paranormal phenomena and has worked with investigators all around the world. She is the founder of the resident paranormal team to the USS Hornet museum, Alameda Paranormal Researchers. She has combined her love of philanthropy with her curiosity of the paranormal by coordinating fundraising events for haunted historic locations throughout the United States.
You can find work by Sommer on the Bio Channel, various web and radio shows, local magazines and newspapers, and on the Travel Channel’s Ghost Adventures. She recently wrapped filming on a paranormal themed documentary titled “A Brush with Evil” that is due out early next year.
Sommer takes a science based approach to investigating the paranormal and can be found often experimenting with new and existing technologies and ideas to take her investigation techniques to the next level. She hopes to capture her most head-scratching moments on film to share with the world or at the very least have fun with it all.

EDITORIAL:Okay, it is not a real UFO Sighting – but in fact an artist’s rendition of the GAIA mapping satellite being launched by the ESA! But, it does make you wonder how many “false sightings” have been reported by people. [CCS]
Following extensive in-orbit commissioning and several unexpected challenges, Europe’s billion-star surveyor is ready to begin its mission.
The satellite was launched on 19 December 2013, and is orbiting a virtual location in space 1.5 million kilometres from Earth.
Gaia’s goal is to create the most accurate map yet of the Milky Way. It will make extremely accurate measurements of the positions and motions of about 1% of the total population of roughly 100 billion stars in our home galaxy to help answer questions about its origin and evolution.
Gaia will be a revolution in our knowledge of the local Universe. For the first time we will have a fair sample of what is out there, where it is, how it is moving, how unseen (dark) matter is distributed, where and when stars formed and where and when the chemical elements of which we are made were created. Gaia will make a huge step towards understanding how the Milky Way came to be formed, and evolved into what we see today. For the first time, we will be able to see the Milky Way in 3-D. In fact in 6-D – where stars are, and how they are moving.
UK participation in the mission is funded by the UK Space Agency and scientists and engineers from around the UK have played key roles in the design and build of Gaia. The UK Science and Technology Facilities Council (STFC) funded the early development of the project, including the set-up of the data applications centre. STFC’s current support involves the UK exploitation of the scientific data to be yielded from the mission.
The Cambridge Gaia Data Processing Centre will be the front line in processing Gaia’s images, which will play an important role in the discovery of many thousands of transient stars and supernovae: these will be made immediately available to schools and the public for their participation in the research.
